Himalayan Corporation is accepting applications for Production Associate to serve as a utility position to fill in for any possible vacancies due to absenteeism, vacations, or increases in work volume. This will include working on any machines as well as assisting in cooking department, packaging department, and shipping department. Manufacturing experience is required for this position. Our company is growing and we are looking for several flexible and adaptable individuals; there is room for growth and and opportunity for advancement. This position must be able to work under limited supervision, perform a variety of skilled work and perform related duties as assigned. (Shift 7 am- 3 pm Monday through Friday).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow operator and supervisor's instructions when assigned to a particular machine as support personnel.
Follow all plant safety policies and practices.
Visually inspect and conduct quality checks; alert operators and supervisors of non-conforming quality product.
Cross train on other machines.
Willingly work as part of a team when assigned to different machines and equipment.
Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data and Quality Data.
Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment; if is not working notify immediately your supervisor or the operator for needed repairs.
Switch duties with first helpers as necessary.
Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
Wears personal protective equipment at all times in the production area.
Adheres to production schedule.
Report to work on time as scheduled.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Himalayan Corporation is hiring a full time associate. Candidates with Pet Industry experience will be considered first. This is a Communications position. There will be some travel and a lot of cross-culture communication. We are able to train anyone who meets the language skills (must speak 4 languages) qualifications.
The position will involve Quality Assurance, Sales, and Production.

This is a salary paid position. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday 7:45 am - 4:15 pm as well as extra hours and weekends as necessary. There may be travel which will be paid for and scheduled by the company.
